19th Annual SummerFest BBQ - July 12
The 19th annual Ankeny SummerFest is the weekend of July 10-13. On Saturday, the 12th, the Historical Society will sponsor our major fundraiser with a SummerFest Barbecue at Parkview Middle School lunchroom. Please spread the word by inviting friends and neighbors to support us by coming to our barbecue. The hours are 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday the 12th. Since this is right on the parade route why not stop by right after the parade for your noon lunch? This year’s menu will consist of barbecue shredded pork sandwich, baked beans, cole slaw, chips, ice cream, and a drink. Donations are $7.00 and may be purchased from Society members or at the door. There is a window for carryout for those that don’t wish to eat in.
